Albert Cuyp Car Park Chooses Park Assist's L4 Smart-Sensor Parking Guidance System

TKH opco Park Assist (USA) has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Albert Cuyp Car Park in the City of Amsterdam in partnership with TKH Group's Cruxin and BB Lightpipe companies.

Regarded as "an engineering marvel" by the International Parking & Mobility Institute, the innovative 3-floor car park has been built underneath the Boerenwetering canal. The car park, which is situated between the Museum Quarter and the vibrant "De Pijp" neighbourhood, features 600 car and 60 bicycle spaces. The underground solution allows the City of Amsterdam to move above-ground parking spots in order to improve the neighbourhood for inhabitants, pedestrians, and cyclists by building more green areas, playgrounds and squares.

The car park features Park Assist's L4 solution, integrating the camera based parking guidance and monitoring capabilities with powerful LED lighting. The customer was particularly drawn to Park Assist's patented camera-based, smart-sensor system with License Plate Recognition (LPR) technology for the Find Your Car™ locator feature in Park Finder. With Find Your Car™, visitors can quickly and easily locate their vehicles by entering their license plate number at one of the two touch-screen kiosks. The Park Assist® core system then searches a database of currently parked vehicles and finds the resulting vehicle's exact location.
